The beekeeper Daniel Kaiser keeps bees in the Kaiserstuhl and in the southern Black Forest in a gentle and humane way. He complements the family tradition of beekeeping, which has existed for generations, by making his own beehives from Black Forest wood. Only a few bee colonies provide exclusive beekeeping products such as Lilientaler Exotenhonig, NABU Streuobstwiesenhonig and Black Forest silver fir honey.

The "Zenimker" also has a dry mead, brewed according to a recipe from 1350 with Kaiserstühl wild hops and sage. They also have their own wax, e.g. for candle making, and propolis.
